Our Qualifications
There is nothing more distressing for a party host than an empty dance
floor. While anyone can play music, our specialty is motivating people
to dance through audience participation. As a graduate of the Bobby McGee's
Conglomeration Professional DJ School in Phoenix, Arizona, Bruce Barrios,
along with our other DJs, are professionally trained on music education,
programming, timing and crowd reading. Because our DJ's are always
mindful of our client's wishes and requests, we give each client an
event template that lets them design music programs to reflect their taste
and event goals. Whether we are creating a customized soundtrack for a
wedding or a corporate event, our goal is to set the mood to create magical
moments. BBP DJ's carry a huge library of music with them and always
have constant internet access during an event should a song on iTunes
or any other legal music service need to be downloaded on the fly.
BBP DJ's utilize a state-of-the-art sound system that includes an all-digital
library, as well as CD's of music, and mixing consoles from Rane,
Denon & Pioneer. We use sound systems from JBL, QSC and Mackie and
only quality Shure wireless microphones that enable toasts and speeches
from anywhere in the room. We employ a sound technician who is responsible
for setting up and tearing down the system and who stays on-call during the gig.

BEST EVENT DJ/MC for the 19th time, Bruce Barrios Productions (BBP) is referred by more hotels, country
clubs, event facilities and event professionals than any other entertainer
in the Special Events industry in Ventura County. BBP currently performs
at over 250 weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and corporate events per year from
Santa Barbara to San Diego. Brides will often change their wedding date
to book Bruce and will book two years well in advance! And if he's
not available for your event one of his personally trained DJ's can
provide the same outstanding service.

BBP has performed for celebrity events such as Lisa Marie Presley's
birthday, American Idol Season 9 winner Lee Dewyze's wedding, The
Los Angeles Angels manager Mike Scioscia's birthday and Muhammad Ali's
All-Star 60th Birthday Celebration. Bruce has been the red carpet host
and coordinated for many Hollywood Award Shows including the Annual American
Comedy Awards, American Comedy Honors, The Grammy Awards, The Oscars,
the AFI salute to Harrison Ford, the AFI tribute to Dustin Hoffman, the
Caesars Palace 30th Anniversary Celebration, The American Music Awards,
The Academy of Country Music Awards, and the American Bandstand Anniversary
show. To date, Bruce's greatest honor was being asked to perform at
the 54th Presidential Inaugural Opening Ceremonies at the White House
for President Bush.
